We recently completed an exciting full basement remodel in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Annapolis, MD. This project transformed a once neglected space into a functional and beautiful area, featuring a new bedroom, a recreational room with a wet bar, a modern bathroom, and an innovative under-stair storage solution that maximized every inch of space.
In addition to creating more living space in the home, the client also wanted to increase their storage space. The obvious place to claim was the area under the steps (often overlooked square footage hidden behind drywall.) During the project assessment, we noticed several support columns under the steps and created a plan that would still provide ample storage.
We designed and installed a custom under-stair storage solution that is as easy to use as it is beautiful. We built large, pull-out draws incorporating slides that can hold up to 450 pounds. This creative solution added significant value and function to the home. Now, holiday decorations are easily accessible.
Our client’s primary goal was to increase storage space in their home without sacrificing aesthetics. With our innovative design, we met and exceeded their expectations. They were particularly impressed with how we turned what could have been wasted space into a practical and seamless storage area.
